Thankful Tuesday: Long Overdue Me-Time :)

Thank You Lord for the moment I had with myself last night. You let the boys and their Daddy sleep so early than the usual so I could finish chores and do all these...

1. make my button-framed whiteboard (for sale soon!)
2. bind some souvenir knick knacks I've collected when we first set foot here in Sg and stayed in Pan Pacific for a week (another thing to be thankful for! that was FREE! God's way of pampering us with His love)
3. clean and arrange my work table. see how neat! hehehe :)
4. organize my ribbons and embellishments rack.
... and while doing all those, i was able to:
5. clean and steam the bottles
6. do the laundry
7. cleaned the kitchen
8. arranged the house (mildly) to make it look somewhat neat :)


































































































That was one awesome time I had. I was grinning and singing and praying the whole time hehehe... In fact, I'm still grinning until now :) :) :) I wish to have such gratifying moment with myself more often. Again, Thank you Lord!

Thrifty Thursday: Family Picture

A new found friend in the name of Margaret have been asking me for our family portrait. And I'm also thinking to make a few Christmas cards for friends and family. I was almost tempted to give studio photo taking a try :) but the present global crisis always reminds me to try to always look for cheaper alternatives... Thus, our photo shoot ... here at home!

We all dressed in our old but nice green and red outfits. The kids seemed to feel excited. Well, they always do every time they get dressed, thinking we're going somewhere hehehe. We eventually went to Causeway mall right after, so as not to disappoint them and to give them a treat for being so cute in the pictures.

Thanks and kudos to my handsome hobbyist hubby who took charge of the pictorial which turned out nice... don't you think? hehehe :)

Thankful Tuesday: Baby Book

No matter how hard I tried to be so organized during our transfer here, with all the list and everything, I still missed one very significant thing. Miguel's Baby Book. I'm so embarrassed to admit it. Horrible... Baby Book? malimtan??? duh.

It took me 3 months to solve the problem.

Three months to be able to:

• Ask my very good friends Ate Ludy, Maricor, Sweet to help me look for the book in one "jungle" room back there in our house. Jungle because all our other things are in there!
• Ask them again and again, to look for it over and over...
  
• Admit they couldn't find it (I really believe it's there) and just accept it.
• Think of a solution to get the book since Doctors here won't continue the immunization without seeing the Baby Book signed by Miguel's pedia.
• Finally think of a solution: ask Dra Villegas to make a new one.
• Ask Maricor to ask it from Dra Villegas. Since we have the same pedia.
  
• Ask my sis in law Bing2 to ask her boyfriend, Jason, to get it from Maricor and mail it to me.
  
• To finally get hold of the "new" book...

Here it is. The precious Baby Book. This Tuesday, I WANT TO THANK YOU ALL, those mentioned above,for your efforts. I suuperrr appreciate it!!! :) and God of course. There's always a way.

Thrifty Thursday: Bondings at Home

Hubby and I love parties! Present crisis cannot get in the way of our wanting to spend time with friends. We can still have fun even with the fact that money gets a little tight these days. How? Instead of going to clubs or restaurants, we do home bondings! We have been having a lot of that these days :)Here's one of the hubby's bondings with his flickr buddies...

Sabado Nights

My 3 boys are in the bedroom and I have no idea what they are doing at the moment. It's just unusual that they're so quiet. Hmmmn. But this post isn't about them.

It's about me. and my Saturday night date.

Im halfway in baking chocolate crinkles for my hijado Paul's birthday party tomorrow. I still got no mixer so I had to mix it by hand. My right arm ached. So I had to rest a while by surfing which led me here. Look what I found:

Who brought the gospel to you? Perhaps your parents taught you the faith from a young age. Or maybe you didn’t grow up in a Christian home and came to Christ by other means. However it happened, it was God who brought it to life in you—just as it is God who will compel you to keep the story going by proclaiming the gospel yourself.

Jesus is inviting each of us to give freely what we have freely received. This kind of giving isn’t necessarily about scraping together all your savings and giving them to a charitable organization. Though that can be a beautiful expression of Christian love, the giving Jesus calls us to is a whole lifestyle, one that is motivated by a heart of gratitude for all God has given to us. It’s a lifestyle that manifests itself in the small decisions of our days as well as in the major acts of generosity that we occasionally perform.

How can you give this Advent? How can you imitate the twelve and share the love of God with those around you? It could be as simple as being a joyful, quiet presence in your home. It could be through the witness of your patience at work or as you help out with a local charity. Perhaps you can best share the gospel with a friend by interceding for him or her. Whatever you do, look for the power of God to flow through you as you do it. Remember: You are freely giving something that you already have!

“Thank you, Jesus, for giving me so much more than I deserve. Help me to share that gift now with those around me. May this Advent be a time of deeper conversion for all of us.”

I thank god for speaking me so softly tonight. It is His intention to delay my having an electric mixer, so we can have a quiet date in a Saturday Night. Feel so loved by You Lord. I love You too.

Thank You Lord for the little and big blessings... and the blessings in disguise.

• Career Leap. Truly God provides. God takes care of every detail in our life. The big. The small.
  
• Uy family. I thank God for them. They make us feel so loved like true family.
  
• Sewing. I want to continue my mother's legacy. Thank you Baby for the early Christmas present :)
  
• Yoville. I'm thankful for the brief moments I spend with my siblings and friends in this cutey virtual world. And now the youngest Yovillian is born. My nephew Abe never ceases to amaze us.

• the fun, the tears, and everything else of Mamang's 60th Birthday.
  
• St. Anthony of Padua. So impressed and inspired with how they run everything. So organized, well planned. Last Sunday, Kuya and I attended the 'children's liturgy'. It inspired me a lot. Kuya thought it was a birthday party (lots of kids, candles on the advent wreath) he sang so loud I had to cover his mouth. lol! I'm wondering if we could get involve with the Parish. Just praying about it. God willing.
• Match Point movie date with hubby. Here in our couch. Thank God the kids slept early that time. More please Lord!!! :)
• Holy Interruptions. I honestly don't get it why until now, we got no househelp. There's always obstacle after another. But I decide to wait patiently. God provides. maybe God wants me to be really slim and sexy again hahaha! :) thank You Lord for Your interruptions. I obey.
• Guidance of the Holy Spirit. Reminding me when I tend to forget.
  
• God's love. 24/7. He is actually my number 1 fan. I love You Lord! :)
